Welcome to the world, Maggie…

Date November 19, 2008

Maggie Anna was born at 5:07 Monday morning.  The announcement has gone out via Facebook and a church-wide e-mail, so I don’t think this will come as a surprise to any of you! :)  She was 7lbs 6oz and 19.5 inches long.  She has a beautiful dusting of dark hair (just like Auntie Anna’s!) and is beautiful, just beautiful.

When our first daughter was born, I remember having her placed in my hands after Sarah’s very long and difficult labor and thinking…”oh my, a baby.”  I was scared to death - what does one do with one of these?  This time around the labor was a lot shorter, a lot easier - and Sarah and I laid and cuddled and talked to Maggie.  I feel like our family is complete.  Sarah, Stella, Maggie.  My girls. :)

We all have our nicknames for Margaret.  Mommy has taken to calling her Masie, Daddy calls her Mags, Big Sister calls her Pookie.

Thanks for the pictures - can’t wait to hold her in a week, and hug Stella (and her mommy and daddy)

she is beautiful. i know quite a few smart women named Margaret. One went by “Meg” - there’s another nickname. She was a folklore prof at U of U, lived in a groovy house in the Avenues, and had a cool sheep dog named Nellie.

i’m happy for your “complete” family…but won’t they need a little brother? :)

She is so beautiful! But you of course know that. I love that her name is Margaret Anna (and not ONLY because of the Anna part, but of course that is wonderful!) and that Stella calls her Pookie.
I can’t wait to see you ALL in a week!
